Important News About 2017-18 Season!
Jun 06, 2017
As a member of the Shriver Hall Concert Series community, we want you to be among the first to know some exciting news. Shriver Hall Auditorium is getting all-new seats and an upgraded lighting system!
Although the project is still in the design phase, Johns Hopkins University has announced that the brand-new seats will be wider and more comfortable. The replacement lighting system will include new LED fextures, wiring, circuit boxes, and controls throughout the auditorium, stage, and backstage areas, as well as improvements to the first-floor lobby and second-floor Clipper Room.
As one who has attended concerts in the hall, you know that these are very welcome improvements!
The scope and complexity of the planned renovations mean that JHU is closing Shriver Hall Auditorium for the fall 2017 semester. Our concerts on October 29, November 19, and December 10 will be held at Baltimore Hebrew Congregation in Pikesville, conveniently located at the intersection of Park Heights and Slade avenues (directions here). While the location has changed, the artists, programs, and 5:30pm time remain as announced.
The renovation marks an exciting new chapter in the life of Shriver Hall Concert Series. Thank you for being part of our wonderful community!
