Tetzlaff and Vogt Debut
Oct 25, 2011
We are delighted and excited to be presenting Christian Tetzlaff and Lars Vogt in their Series Debut recital later this weekend. Tetzlaff has long been one of my personal favorites - a living legend - for his technical perfection, interpretive depth, and refined purity of purpose. With him there is never a moment of histrionics - he is the rare musician for whom technique is purely a tool that he dispenses only for the purpose of making music with the composer's intentions at the heart of every interpretation. Lars Vogt is an equally impressive pianist. Their October 30 recital should be one of the rare events that you remember for a long, long time - when two masters come together and deliver exceptional music-making that transcends the ordinary and approaches the sublime. But don't take my word for it! Read a review (here) from the opening concert of their current tour last weekend at Spivey Hall in Atlanta - not to be confused with Shriver Hall! There are still seats left - so be sure to order your tickets today.
