Dear Friends,

It is with great pleasure that we welcome you to the 59th season of Shriver Hall Concert Series! We’re looking forward to this new year of fantastic music and to sharing it with you, our fellow music lovers.

This 2024-25 season offers the opportunity to indulge your curiosity, refresh your spirit, and enjoy great music together as a community. We welcome some extraordinary artists for important Baltimore debuts and others for eagerly anticipated returns. Our dedication to the classical repertoire is steadfast, as is our commitment to performances of new works by composers of today, such as Eleanor Alberga and Jerod Impichchaachaaha' Tate, and celebrations of less frequently heard composers of the past like Clara Schumann and Geirr Tveitt. It’s a delight and privilege to welcome this season’s compelling and thoughtful artists to Baltimore.

We urge you to take note of our free Discovery Series presented on Saturday afternoons at the Baltimore Museum of Art and UMBC. Now in its 19th season, this series is a wonderful way to meet some of the most exciting young artists emerging on the international scene. One of this year’s highlights is guitarist Raphaël Feuillâtre, the top-prize winner of the prestigious Guitar Foundation of America International Concert Artist Competition and a Deutsche Grammophon recording artist.

SHCS has thrived for almost 60 years because of the time, energy, and enthusiasm of engaged patrons like you. In renewing your subscription, making an annual gift, and including SHCS in your estate planning, you are investing in our future. We are committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive concert experience, and we are grateful for your support of our series and programming. Your participation makes the magic of live performance happen here at SHCS.

It promises to be an unforgettable year—and we look forward to experiencing it with you!

With warm wishes,

Regina Anderson MD, Chair
